Firefox has changed so much since I first started using it in 2006 on Windows 98 (yes, I was a bit behind the times).  Back then I was using 1.5.  I think that it wasn’t until I upgraded to Windows XP that I was able to use version 2.0.  From there, it all just goes hazy.  Now, I am on Windows 7 using Firefox 4.0 (Beta, review 1).  And boy does it look flash!  Below you will be able to find my report on my experience of my use of Firefox 4.0.  Both the good and the bad.

Bad

Function Key: 6

When pressing F6, with other browsers it puts the cursor into the Address Field.  However, with Firefox 4.0, this fails to happen.  Instead, it switches between selecting the tab, and the window content.  However, I have just been informed that Ctrl+L puts the cursor in the address bar too, so possibly the solution to this issue.

Google Chrome™

Firefox 4.0 seems to resemble Google Chrome just a little too much.

Good

Aero Peak

Firefox 4.0 integrates with Windows 7 nicely.  Aero Peak shows tabs which are open in Firefox, rather than just the window like it does in versions <4.0

Jumplists

Upon right-clicking the Firefox window in the taskbar, you get given the most frequent web pages visited. You also get a few commands, to: Open new tab Open new window Enter private browsing
